Vision & Goals of PAA

Vision

Pacific American Academy (Pa'a) is one of the first schools on the mainland to promote culture based education, as well as conventional learning methods. Our academic program starts from kindergarten to third grade, and hopes to eventually expand to sixteenth grade as approved by our charter. The educational program will be further developed to include vocational training and life skills for students to be productive citizens of their respective communities.

Goals

The students will:

Be inspired to attain knowledge and become life-long learners

Learn a variety of life skills to become competent and self-motivated learners

Participate in cultural learning through indigenous language, storytelling, music, dance, and art.

Develop critical thinking and problem solving skills to utilize within the academic curriculum and in everyday life situations.

Top Reasons to Enroll TODAY!

We feature small class sizes of only 20 students while many other schools feature 30 or more.

We are a project based school that focuses on hands on learning in addition to conventional teaching methods for our students.

All textbooks are new and were selected by the teachers specifically for the purposes of this school.

We are a technologically advanced school featuring smartboards and document cameras in each classroom.

The school is found in a highly diverse neighborhood with many different ethnicities living in the same area.

The school is culturally grounded and hopes to instill life lessons and values while also teaching students to value their own culture and those of others....
